NOBODY Files — Accessibility Statement
Version 2026-10-20. Previous versions: https://itsnobody.net/FILES/legal/archive
This statement is published in Hebrew and in English. If the two versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails.
Our commitment
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use NOBODY Files and its website. This statement covers the NOBODY Files app for Android (and for iPhone and iPad, when it becomes available) and the pages at https://itsnobody.net/FILES.
The standard we work to
For the website we work toward Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. For the app we rely on the accessibility features of Android and iOS and on their guidelines.
What has been done
On the website:
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of the main page, and a visible focus outline for links, buttons and fields when you move through the page with a keyboard.
- Text alternatives for informative images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Respect for the system setting that reduces motion, and a text version of the page that works without JavaScript.
- The legal pages are plain HTML, available in Hebrew (right to left) and in English.
- The launch film has captions in WebVTT format.
- On 2026-10-20 the main page, the two privacy pages and every legal page were checked with an automated tool (axe-core 4.10, WCAG 2.0 levels A and AA) at a desktop width and a phone width. It found too little contrast on the red buttons and on two small grey labels, and a label on a page section without a role; these were fixed, and the repeat check found no failures.
In the app:
- Labels for screen readers (TalkBack on Android) on icons and buttons; purely decorative images are hidden from them.
- Text sizes that follow the font size chosen in the device settings.
- A full right-to-left layout when the app is in Hebrew.
- The location-events screen opens as a list, so the information is available without the map.
- Requests for sensitive permissions are explained before the system asks for them.
What is not yet accessible
- A full accessibility audit by an expert against Israeli Standard 5568 or WCAG 2.0 AA has not been done yet, so some parts may not be fully accessible. Automated tools cannot test everything: for example, the contrast of text over photographs and gradients and whether text alternatives are meaningful still need a manual check. The app has not yet been checked with an automated accessibility tool.
- The interactive 3D scene on the website's main page and the interactive demonstration cannot be fully used with a screen reader. The same information is given in the page's text.
- The map in the app's location-events screen is not accessible to screen readers; use the list view instead.
